Our Mission
To advocate and promote organic agriculture for the highest good of the people, the environment and the state’s economy.
MOA is a nonprofit 501(c) 6 organization that provides education, information, support, assistance, promotion, and representation for organic producers, processors, handlers, retailers, consumers, researchers, agricultural service providers, and other interested parties.
Developing Montana’s organic sector through community
The Montana Organic Association (MOA) brings together people, businesses, organizations, and agencies working to develop Montana’s organic sector and building its community. MOA is proud of its legacy that has led Montana to be a national leader in organic production.
Our core beliefs
We believe the organic movement is key to sustaining small family farms, providing safe and nutritious food, supporting farm diversity, and contributing to a healthier environment which protects our precious wildlife and natural resources.
More than organic production
MOA serves to educate about organic products including food, fiber, and non-food items like cosmetics and household supplies, and provides strategies to limit the use of chemicals in everyday life.
We advocate for policies that protect the environment, promote healthy living, and support individuals, farms and businesses that are actively engaged in developing sustainable businesses and communities.
