O’Connor Crops and Cattle is a 100% organic farm and ranch. Products that are raised are: winter wheat, spring wheat, Kamut®, oats, barley, sunflowers, peas, lentils, flax, corn, alfalfa, hay and straw. We also produce organic, grass fed, GAP 4 cattle.
The Organic Advisory and Education Council (OAEC) was created to help fill the void in organic research in Montana. Organic producers are faced with cultural and philosophical practices as well as stringent regulations that more often make applying traditional research findings inappropriate. While an admirable amount of agricultural research is being done in Montana on a variety of topics, from weeds to varietal trials to nutrients and pests, most of that research does not take into consideration the particular and discrete challenges faced by organic producers.
Organic Valley is a farmer-owned cooperative representing more than 1,850 organic farmers in 36 U.S. states, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Focused on its founding mission of saving family farm culture through organic farming, the co-op produces a wide range of organic dairy, egg, soy and produce products. With its regional model, milk is produced, bottled and distributed right in the region where it is farmed to ensure fewer miles from farm to table and to support our local economies.
